Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Program Team Manager, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St.

Boniface General Hospital, the CLINICAL PRACTICE NURSE
– REGISTERED NURSE (RN) provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.

These services include independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, a leadership role within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge.

Experience Post graduate course in ICU nursing or equivalent experience required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration Current CRNM registration required.

Active participation in professional associations e.g.

Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.

Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.

Qualifications and Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).

If there are no applicants meeting the qualifications, the employer may consider an applicant who does not meet the above qualifications.

Physical Requirements Not applicable NOTE: This position is Non-Conforming and does not have a Master Rotation.

Six (6) weeks of scheduled hours will be provided to the successful incumbent.

The Collective Agreement this position is covered under, is identified by the Union noted above.

As a result of The Health Sector Bargaining Unit Review Act , the bargaining agent for this position may differ from the Union identified.
