In this role you will perform work connected with the maintenance and repair of the pipeline right of way and related facilities.

What you will do:
Performs layout, cutting, fitting and welding work as required.
Performs other general pipeline work as assigned when not engaged in welding activities (reference Senior Maintenance Technician profile).
Completes supply and material orders for daily operations of welding shop.
Prepares as-built drawings as the need arises following completion of all work projects.
Ensures that all tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order.
Performs other related duties including emergency response.
Works toward the successful completion of annual objectives/ goals
Who you are:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent plus certified trades-person or certified technical designation and typically 5 years of directly relevant training experience
Undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to 5-year driving record, criminal check and a company sponsored medical and drug testing.
Role requires a valid driver’s license, which will be verified with a driver’s abstract check prior to hire
Required to pass annual welder qualification tests.
Class 1A license is preferred.
Boom truck ticket is an asset.
Working Conditions:
Mix of office (30%) and field (70%)
Frequent travels along the Right-of-Way and to various stations within Canada
Shift is a 9/80 Weekday schedule.
Hours of work vary depending on workload, emergency response, capital projects and line schedules.
On-call approximately 10 weeks per year.
Some out-of-town travel is require to support other areas and could include to other Regions
Responsible for responding to emergency conditions such as customer emergencies, asset emergencies or environmental emergencies.
