Mine Maintenance Scheduler

The Opportunity:

Key Accountabilities:


  • Develop area plan schedules as well as forecast and report the costs for labor, equipment and materials

  • Prepare weekly area schedules for mobile maintenance, planned maintenance and repairs

  • Review facility maintenance plans prepared by contractors to ensure methods are economical, practical and scheduled to fit with work plan

  • Complete analysis of schedule, progress and workforce data and provide recommendations for corrective action, when necessary

  • Interface with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering, Asset Integrity and contractors to clearly understand the maintenance strategies and operation goals

  • Job location: Fort McMurray, Alberta – 

    Albian Oil Sands site

  • Eligible for relocation to Calgary, Edmonton or Fort McMurray

  • Company sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary or Edmonton

  • This is a safety sensitive position

  • Shift: 4 days on, 3 days off – 10 hours per day

Skills & Qualifications


  • 5 years of maintenance planning and/or scheduling experience in oil and gas, construction or an industrial setting

  • Experienced in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); MAXIMO preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office is required

  • Strong history of shovel experience, with proficient understanding mobile maintenance industry procedures and standards
