Mine Operations Dispatcher

The Opportunity:

Are you looking to take your career to the next level and advance your skillset? The team at Albian is looking for a Dispatcher to join their team! Reporting to the General Foreman Mine Operations, you will be responsible for the day to day productive operation of the Truck/Shovel fleet using the Mine Modular System at Albian Mine location.

Key Accountabilities:

• Safely and Productively dispatch trucks and shovels to achieve the ore/waste business plan
•  Responsible for taking and prioritizing maintenance calls for the allotted equipment
•  Accountable for delivering a steady ore blend
•  Responsible for delivering construction material to dyke/dump structures
•  Working in a team environment to achieve the desired outcome
• Champion company safety initiatives and promote a safety culture amongst maintenance crews

Other Details:

• Job Location: Albian Oil Sands, Fort McMurray, Alberta
• Shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 off, 7 nights on, 7 days off, 12 hour shifts
• Eligible for relocation to Calgary, Edmonton or Fort McMurray
• Company Sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary or Edmonton

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Typically 3+ years of related industry experience
• Grade 12 diploma
• Familiarity with and understanding of:
  • Experience in Dispatching using Mine Modular System
  • Microsoft Office Suite
