– Regular Full-Time (211406) Toronto, ON, CA Posted: 4/15/2021 2:37:08 PM The Finance department of Sunnybrook Health Science Centre has an opening for a Capital Equipment Planning Analyst.

The Capital Equipment Planning Analyst will play a key role in coordinating all aspects of the hospital’s capital equipment prioritization strategies, equipment planning needs, and in managing the equipment fleet replacement for patient handling and other minor equipment.

They will also manage small/medium scale projects, capital requisitions and budgets in conjunction with the stakeholders for these projects.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment along with excellent inter-personal skills and a client focused attitude while maintaining positive working relationships.

Summary of Duties: Providing ongoing coordination and support to affected stakeholders as well as facilitate equipment fleet management Leading and collaborating with stakeholders to develop, manage, and maintain inventory lists for relevant equipment fleets Coordinating with various stakeholders to determine optimal equipment replacement time & strategy Coordinating between internal and external stakeholders throughout the capital planning & procurement process Liaising with the Director to obtain the goal for small/medium scale projects; utilizes information received to manage the project planning, development and implementation process, focusing on several projects at a given time Ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place for the optimal delivery of projects, including best practice guidelines and tools for the effective management and execution of projects Leading small/medium size projects to facilitate defining project plans, deliverables, schedules/timelines to meet identified goals Facilitates the capital requisition process and coordinate with internal stakeholders for receipts/installations as required Facilitate the fleet management and annual capital submission process Ensure accurate tracking of acquisitions including the reconciliation of capital purchases to budget and acquisition/receipt per the corporate timeline Managing and review of service contracts for fleet equipment and other centralized equipment service contracts Works with stakeholders to represent the organization in corporate RFP processes and sourcing for a variety of equipment types as appropriate Other activities as assigned Qualification & Skills: A proactive self-starter with 3 to 5 years relevant capital equipment planning experience in an acute hospital environment preferred Completion of a recognized college diploma in a related field Experience or certification in project management is preferred Ability to handle multiple job responsibilities, set priorities, and work with all levels of staff while appreciating the responsibility of meeting tight and conflicting deadlines Excellent written and oral communication Knowledge of equipment including IT and clinical requirements would be an asset Strong financial and problem-solving abilities Proven organizational, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as a team member Advanced level Microsoft Office experience required Committed to continuous improvement Flexibility in the scope of duties performed when required Willingness to work flexible hours when required Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
