Senior Communications Manager, Corporate Citizenship

Located on the Sunshine Coast, TELUS Wilderness Point is where TELUS will bring together people, culture and technology together in nature.

We are building a best in class facility for youth camp, corporate retreat and wellness center, amongst many other investments in the community.

We are seeking a Communications Manager to develop the internal and external communications related to TELUS Wilderness Point, and the Sunshine Coast community.

Here’s the impact you’ll have and what we’ll accomplish together As Senior Communications Manager, reporting to the Director of the Program Management Office, Corporate Citizenship and Communications, you will be responsible for the development, strategy and implementation of internal and external communications for TELUS Wilderness Point Project.

You will lead the internal and external communications plans, including media relations, local government relations and executive communications while developing comprehensive presentations, gathering information and building relationships with key stakeholders.

In addition, you will be engaged to support stakeholder communications for all individuals and groups impacted on the Sunshine Coast by TELUS Wilderness Point and additional Sunshine Coast investments.

Here’s how Develop and execute project communication plans to support project development including key messaging, and implement communication strategies with key internal and external audiences.

Lead planned, emergency and ad hoc written communications, speeches and presentations with strategic messaging appropriate for the target audience.

Develop, plan, and lead communications programs; manage inputs from project teams to effectively execute communications programs as required.

Manage internal and external senior leadership team events demonstrating creativity and strong event management.

Implementing new ideas and contributing to the continuous improvement of communications programs and processes.

Advance TELUS’ brand through specific programs that leverage a variety of communications channels (i.e.

written and electronic media).

Research, interview, write, edit and distribute content for both written and electronic media while ensuring excellence in communications and the timely completion of projects.

Integrate with the business unit program management office and communications teams to ensure consistent approach to stakeholder, project, and brand communications.

Qualifications Exceptional communication skills including writing, researching, storytelling and presenting Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work with multiple conflicting priorities Knowledge of Gsuite Ability to travel frequently to Sechelt You’re the missing piece of the puzzle 7 years of communications experience in a project based environment Undergraduate degree, and/or a postgraduate certificate in public relations, communications, marketing, or extensive related business experience in a senior communications role A bit about us Our business is connecting Canadians.
