Our values are rooted in respect for people, outstanding service, continual improvement and a commitment to safety that is second to none. We are proud to have say we have been a Canada’s Best Managed Companies winner since 2012 and are committed to building and driving a culture that makes Levitt-Safety a great place to work!A career with Levitt-Safety provides you with the opportunity to:* Work with people who are truly passionate about health and safety.* Learn, grow and develop in a lifelong career.* Have a voice in driving continuous improvement for our customers and company.* Partner with leaders in health and safety industry.* Be a part of a total customer service experience which drives our high degree of customer loyalty.* Be rewarded through RRSP matching plans, profit-sharing, discounted fitness membership, and comprehensive benefits programs.* And, have FUN doing what you do best!ABOUT THE ROLEAre you passionate about safety and helping others?  Consider leveraging your exemplary leadership skills in a Field Service Supervisor role with Levitt-Safety! Reporting to the Fort McMurray Service Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the development of the Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Division in Fort McMurray and build a winning team of technicians where respect and core values are maintained at all times.  As the successful candidate you will ensure that best management practices are implemented and Team members are trained and re-enforce the skills, training and knowledge to perform at a high level as expected by our customer’s.This position will involve providing mobile services in Fort McMurray and the surrounding area and is based on a compressed work week shift of 12hrs daily-14 days on 14 days off. RESPONSIBILITIES * Verify that worksites are safe, and technicians are complying with safe work practices.* Onboard all new Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Fitter technicians and arrange appropriate site orientations.* Ensure training is carried out according to policy, documented and certifications are up to date.  Responsible for perform training audits.* Provide input to the Fort McMurray Service Manager on PC reviews, and coach the team for success.* Communicate standards and any deficiencies internally and follow through with management for corrective action remedies.* Accountable for the integrity of Health & Safety paperwork that it is accurate, timely, and current, including FLRA’s, vehicle inspections, TDG documentation, safe work practices and JHA’s.* Promote and implement best management practises with technicians, and verify that they are trained and knowledgeable in Health and Safety Program requirements.* Respond to after- hours emergency calls and requests from customers* Participate in ongoing Leadership training initiatives.* Be the active investigator in incidents/accidents/and injuries and ensure timeline requirements and corrective action recommendations are carried through.* Supervise work, provide field training and mentor Service Technicians assigned to the shift.* Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS* Minimum of Grade 12 with post-secondary courses specific to supervisory or leadership or equivalent experience & training.* 2 years proven experience in a supervisory role.* CFAA Fire Alarm registration with 5 years of experience as a FA Technician or Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter Certification with a proven work history in Fire Alarm Systems.* Demonstrated working knowledge in Sprinkler Systems, Special Hazards, Fire Pumps, Fire Hydrants, emergency lights and fire extinguishers is required.* Must be well organized and able to multi-task,.* Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.* Valid driver’s license with clean abstract/driving record provided yearly.* Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening as well as security clearance.* Intermediate level computer skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* Regular intervals of standing, sitting, walking or climbing stairs.* Administrative duties include regular, prolonged periods of sitting with extended periods working with computers and associated viewing of screens.* Occasional lifting & carrying of packages and equipment under 50lbs.* Should be capable of performing all Physical work performed by Service Technicians.How to ApplyLevitt-Safety is committed to the principle of employment equity in the workplace and ensures that our practices of hiring are based on qualifications and ability.  We invite all applicants, including persons with disabilities, visible minorities, and Indigenous Peoples to apply for our career opportunities.Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete candidate and not just a resume.
